The 3 Most Important Questions (3MIQ) Framework:
You can reflect on the life you want to create for yourself by answering this simple set of three questions, and liberate yourself from the cultural programming once and for all.
What do you want to experience in life?
How do you want to grow and develop yourself?
How do you want to contribute to the world?
Today, we are going to answer the first question: Experiences.
A Framework
There are three main categories or ‘buckets’ that are the core of life success or happiness: Experiences, Growth, and Contribution.
Reflecting on what you really want for these 3 categories will give you a blueprint into your soul core and make you discover what it takes for you to know you truly lived life.
How to start leveraging the 3MIQ Framework?
Get a piece of paper. Hold it landscape. Draw 3 vertical lines. Add a line at the top to finish drawing 3 columns. Title them Experiences, Growth, and Contribution.
What do you want to experience in life?
Experiences are one of the best parts of being human. In essence, we are here just to experience the masterpiece of life. So, it is very important to go to the core of your soul to mark the most remarkable experiences you want to have in your life.
To fill the first column of your 3 column piece of paper do not forget this:
Avoid adding Means Goals. But, if you find out adding them, just ask yourself: Why do I want to do this? Repeat this question 5 times and you will get to the core. The End Goal. (Learn what is a Means Goal and an End Goal here)
Do not put yourself in a box! Declare what you want to live without fear and shame.
Focus on experiences instead of job titles.
Money is also forbidden here. Forget the money. Do not waste your time doing things you do not like doing in order to get money. That is the fastest way to a miserable life. Money is a Means Goal, not an End Goal.
Instead, think about the experiences you want to buy with money. Trust that life will get you the instruments and money you need to achieve this.
Take no more than 5 minutes to answer this question. The point is not to overthink it but to let the answers flow through you. This is how you will hear the answers that instantly come to you, straight from your heart.
Keep on writing for the full 5 minutes, and do not stop. At some point, your critical mind shuts off, and you start writing what matters.
Remember, there are no right or wrong answers here. This is about discovering what makes your soul shine and makes your life a wonderful experience. Dare to dream big.
What is the point of doing this? Does this really works?
To be honest, I can not explain exactly why this works. Maybe synchronicity, The Law of Attraction, the universe conspiring. Who know?
The scientific explanation might be that you are programming your Reticular Activating System, and this is the part of your brain that points you towards the right goals and opportunities subconsciously when you give your brain a target. But, is it really required to understand it?
The only point is that, if you do this, I can assure you that magic and “coincidences” will start happening in your life!
It is time!
Get yourself comfortable, set a timer to 5 minutes, put on some relaxing music, and write from your heart, without questioning yourself a lot. Write all the experiences that will make your life exciting.
Guiding Questions:
Think about any experience that you wish to have in this lifetime.
Consider your love life, your relationships, and your sexuality.
Think about what experiences you’d like to have with your friends and family.
What would you like your social life to look like?
Assume you have unlimited access to funds. What type of car would you want to drive?
What type of home would you want to live in? Are there any other things you dream of having in your life?
What places do you want to travel to?
What activities, hobbies, or sports would you love to explore?
Next week, I will share with you how to fill the second column: Growth.
